Algarve Marina Intelligence

Four Algarve marinas. Four different propositions.

Choosing an Algarve base is not simply a question of which marina has space. Yacht dimensions, draft, owner travel, technical access, local life and the type of support required can change the answer.

Public information is the starting point

The figures below are based on marina operator information and Turismo de Portugal pages checked on 29 September 2026. They are useful for initial screening, not a substitute for a current berth enquiry.

AUREA POÉ MAR keeps availability, quoted rates, waiting list information and direct marina conversations separate from these public specifications so dated information is not presented as current fact.

Questions owners ask

Which Algarve marina is suitable for a 30 metre yacht?

Several Algarve marinas publish capacity around this size, including Vilamoura, Lagos, Portimão and Albufeira. The practical answer depends on exact length overall, beam, draft, berth availability and owner priorities.

Which Algarve marina publishes the largest yacht capacity?

Among the four marinas compared here, Vilamoura publishes capacity up to 60 metres and Portimão up to 50 metres. Published maximum length is only one part of berth suitability.

Should I choose a marina only on berth price?

Price matters, but owners should also compare access, shore power, draft, service capability, security, airport logistics, crew needs and how the yacht will be supported between visits.
